How to use your umbrella properly

In stronger wind, hold the umbrella facing into the wind and avoid using it in extreme weather conditions such as severe storms or violent gusts. The Windproof system improves resilience, but it is not intended for extreme weather exposure.

Open and close the umbrella gently. When opening it, make sure the canopy is released freely between the ribs and does not catch on the frame. Avoid forceful twisting or jerking, as this may shorten the lifespan of the mechanical parts.

After use, always shake off excess water first and allow the umbrella to dry in an open or partially open position in a well-ventilated area. Never store a wet umbrella in its sleeve for an extended period. Moisture, dust, and impurities contained in rainwater may leave marks on the canopy over time and place unnecessary strain on the frame.

Dry the umbrella away from direct sunlight and away from heat sources such as radiators, heaters, or a hot car interior. Excessive heat may affect the canopy, the finishing treatment, and the shape of certain components.

Do not place the umbrella at the bottom of a bag under heavy items. Constant pressure may bend the ribs or damage the mechanism. We recommend storing the umbrella in a dry, dark place.

Everyday care that extends its lifespan

To preserve its appearance, we recommend removing dust and light dirt regularly with a soft cloth or by rinsing with clean water. If more thorough cleaning is needed, use only mild soap with lukewarm or cold water. Do not use harsh cleaners, solvents, or alcohol-based products, as they may damage the protective finish of the fabric.

If you notice that water no longer beads on the surface and the canopy begins to absorb more moisture, you may restore its performance after gentle cleaning by using a suitable re-proofing spray intended for water-repellent textiles. This helps renew the protective properties of the fabric and maintain its premium appearance.

We also recommend checking the frame, joints, and moving parts from time to time. Addressing minor wear early helps prevent more serious damage later.

Before long-term storage, we recommend

  • gently cleaning the canopy without aggressive cleaning agents;

  • wiping the frame dry;

  • allowing the umbrella to dry completely in an open or partially open position;

  • folding it carefully without placing unnecessary pressure on the ribs;

  • putting it into its sleeve only when fully dry;

  • storing it in a dry place away from direct light and heat sources.
